Additional Support
Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) requirements
RTO’s are required to obtain evidence that you have a suitable level of English language, literacy and numeracy skills to ensure the course selected is right for you. For our current courses on offer, participants must demonstrate completion of year 10 or equivalent, or a higher-level qualification as evidence of current LLN skill level. If sufficient evidence is not provided in your booking/enrolment paperwork, learners may be asked to complete a short LLN quiz for Essential Training staff to review to ensure suitability. If the LLN quiz results provide evidence that learners have the required level, then no further action is required prior to course commencement.
For those who do not successfully meet the appropriate level of LLN to support their course comprehension and progress, they will be contacted prior to course commencement with recommendations for further support. These participants will be required to access appropriate assistance prior to undertaking training with us.
Some great additional support for LLN can be found below:
The Workskil free training offerings also include further support on use of technology and digital literacy for those participants wishing to refresh/update these skills prior to undertaking training that involves use of digital platforms/online learning tools.
