This course is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge required to make a difference in your workplace!
The initial 5-Day Health and Safety Representative training course has been developed for newly elected Health and Safety Representatives in WA who have not previously attended an approved training course.
All elected Health and Safety Representatives (and deputies) should attend an approved introductory training course within 3 months of being elected.
This course is approved by the Work Health and Safety Commission in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act (WA) 2020. The course content covers the Work Health and Safety (General) Regulations 2022 applicable to various industries in addition to the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 for those working in the mining sector. Additional WorkSafe WA learning resources and documents are also provided to learners for further support.
If you have previously undertaken the introductory training, you may consider attending a REFRESHER COURSE to update your knowledge and skills annually, or as required. The 1-Day Refresher Training can be undertaken annually after the initial 5-Day course to continuously enhance knowledge of the current WHS legislation and to keep abreast of any specific updates relating to the role of HSRs.
